Technical landing
The football pitch at Medkila can be tight to land on, and thermal on the right days. Watch out for the floodlight masts and the cables between them. The alternative landing at the parking at Medkila school has lamp posts around it and is difficult if there are cars parked there. A kindergarten and a primary school are right next to it.

Launch
Launch area by the cairn. Somewhat rocky ground, so watch your lines.
- ENEN Signs of good thermals: fine weather, NE 2–5 m/s and pressure around 1005 hPa. Ridge soaring requires a lot of wind.
- NWW Ridge soaring is possible on the back side.
Landing
The main landing is the football pitch at Medkila (Medkilabanen). Alternatively the parking at Medkila school, which is also the landing for Hinnstein. Landing down by Medkilaosen is tight, so an inspection beforehand is recommended.
Always check the landing before you fly. If you land in a field, it must be agreed with the farmer, and the grass must not be tall.
